Marita Palavicini co-manages and operates the family-owned business, Vilma’s Boutique. Vilma’s Boutique has been serving the Boston community for over 25 years proving Wedding, Quinceanera, First Communion and special occasion goods and services including decorating function halls. Marita has also operated and managed the other family owned businesses including Sorrento Function Hall and Peppino’s Restaurant in Everett. Marita was born in Costa Rica and grew up in Roxbury and Dorchester where she attended Mission Hill Grammar School, St. Kevin Grammar School and Monsignor Ryan Memorial High School for girls. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from Simmons College and Project Management Certification William George Associates. Her professional career includes working as a Business Systems Analyst and Project Manager at U.S. Bank, Bank of America, Fleet Bank and BankBoston. She has volunteered in several political and international organizations including the Boston Center for International Visitors, the late Ted Kennedy re-election campaign and the 2004 National Democratic Convention in Boston.
